How To Use Silverseal Hydrogel Wound Dressings

A great new hydrogel dressing from Alliqua Biomedical is now available at Parthenon called SilverSeal!  SilverSeal wound dressings are indicated for use on partial/full thickness dermal ulcers, leg ulcers, superficial wounds, abrasions, first/second degree burns, donor sites, and debrided/grafted partial thickness wounds.  SilverSeal wound dressings protect the wound area and permits the passage of wound fluid through the product to be absorbed by absorbent material over the dressing.  SilverSeal's integrated silver protects against microbial contamination and offers low adhesion for less pain when changing dressings.

SilverSeal should be applied directly to the wound bed. If the wound is wet then cover it with a conventional dressing to absorb fluid.  SilverSeal should be left on the wound for no longer than 7 days.
